HaP International Schools

Between 2022 and 2024, Heritage as Placemaking convened a series of international schools bringing together graduate students from the social sciences and related fields—including heritage studies, archival and museum studies, sociology and anthropology, urban design, art and curatorial studies, and history—alongside heritage professionals and activists. These international schools were conceived as platforms for on-site, practice-based training in critical urban heritage, understood as a dynamic and multidisciplinary approach to documenting, interpreting, and engaging with both intangible and built forms of heritage.
