FID4SA works closely with academic institutions and professional associations in order to continually develop its services in line with the needs of the academic community and current research issues. Cooperative projects, some of which are satellite projects, are carried out with various partners in the field of South Asian studies.

FID4SA also maintains close contacts with other specialised information services. It is also a partner of the newly founded FID Network Asia and contributes its expertise to various working groups within the network.
